Acropolis (without the tourists)

This photograph and the ones that follow were taken at the Acropolis during the covid-ready summer of 2020.

Acropolis like you've never seen before! Shortly before Greece reopens to tourists following the lockdown period, SteMajourneys team took a stroll at the archeological site of the Acropolis, in conditions that we truly wish to never experience again. Onsite guides and guards were patiently standing at their posts, with only 6 visitors around!

A symbol of humanity’s ability to survive.

Greece: safe since 460 BC. The must-see Parthenon and UNESCO World Heritage Monument without the skip-the-line-tours.

Imagine, there are usually thousands tourists here, and now, we are on a private tour with one of the wonders of the world.

We spotted two Greek couples and one family with their children, but not a single foreign tourist.

2,400-year-old architectural masterpiece

It’s easy to lose your sense of time up here, it’s so peaceful.

The hours are counting down for the start of a tourist season different from the previous ones, a season that has to be adapted to the new conditions that Covid19 brought to people's lives.

Below you can get a private viewing in the grandeur of the 5th century BC. photo-guided by SteMajourneys!
